I
am addressing this email to each of you because I'm not sure under
which category my proposal would fit best under - so I thought I'd run
this by each of you.
I
don't know if any of you have heard anything about a subject that's
been happening in NY for a bit now with respect to prostitution and the
idea of decriminalization and/or the lack of prosecution of women caught
engaging in prostitution - but I think the time has come for me to
weigh in on the subject a bit because I frankly don't know of anyone
alive right now who has had more first hand experience, knowledge, and
also data behind this subject than myself right now.
You
see, I was a very high level madam in Los Angeles in the 1970's and
80's. When I was arrested in 1984, the media dubbed me "The High Tech
Madam" (www.hightechmadam.online), because of a warehouse they had been
told by the police was a "brothel" I was running and the strangeness of
it being next to a police station as well as having extremely cutting
edge surveillance and security equipment on the site.
The
reality however was that the warehouse HAD been a brothel, but I had
instead converted it into what is now known historically as the first
safe house for "sex trafficking victims" before the word was even coined
when the Trafficking Act finally passed in the year 2000 giving these
victims federal recognition as actually "victims" instead of being
classified by the government/legal system as purely "criminals" and
"prostitutes" as they were prior to this Act passing.
You
see, now it's come out and been verified about "Iran Contra" that was
hitting Los Angeles back then, as well as Epstein's Island. But of
course. no one outside of a very small criminal underground, and the
rogue CIA agents knew that our own CIA was importing cocaine into the
USA to sell in order to raise money to buy weapons for the Contra's to
attack the Russians during the "cold war" when we'd been forbidden to
engage in open warfare with them.
Now
when dealing with wealthy members of the Saudi royal family, the
Sultain of Brunei, heads of the drug cartel, and jungle guerillas being
trained to shoot down Russian helicopters using missle launchers we
provided them with, and trained them on - money wasn't always what
motivated these men. Sex however goes with drug trafficking like peanut
butter and jelly. Especially American infamous porn stars.
Chuck
Barris was in fact a CIA operative (I don't know if he actually killed
anyone - but I do know he was producing shows that supported the
glamourization of cocaine in order to drive the sales of what was a new
drug back then to us (freebase was a very new drug that was introduced
to the mainstream Americans back then - using such shows as Miami Vice
for example or other films made to make it appear "cool" and
"profitable"). He was taking audition tapes of lovely escorts for "The
Dating Game" he produced, and if one of these men liked one of these
women - they would be arranged to "win a date" which would also get them
out of the country without any questions asked. Barris even came clean
about this in his memoir "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" that he was
not only working for the CIA back then while producing shows on TV - but
that he was also using the show to arrange to have women taken into
other countries for intelligence reasons.
Which
is when us madams started noticing that women and children were
actually "disappearing" in what was supposed to be just a weekend date
for example. As we found a record number of us being murdered, with
the police not investigating these murders because some of us were being
murdered by these men involved with Iran Contra, we of course tried to
go to the authorities to report on these women/children who were missing
and/or murdered and/or outright sold into "white slavery" or "being
trafficked" as it's now called.
This
is when us madams learned that while "pimping" was a felony, which was a
man taking money from the earnings of a prostitute, to our shock we
learned that to actually "sell" an American outright was actually NOT
illegal! While the Mann Act did confirm that women brought here from
China to be forced into prostitution made them a "victim" instead of a
"criminal prostitute" because prostitution is illegal as you know except
for a few counties in Nevada as of 1974 - we were informed by the
authorities that there was actually no laws in place against this kind
of thing.
In
fact, when Linda Lovelace tried to press charges against her husband,
and the mobsters who forced her at gunpoint to film "Deep Throat", a
legal film by the way, even though the California US Attorney, Edwin
Meese, charged everyone on the film but her with "obsenity" - there was
literally no laws other than this he could use to try and register that
her forced sale was wrong. Because her main trafficker/pimp was her
husband, there was also no way to even charge him with "pimping".
Us
watching Linda having absolute proof she was trafficked into the making
of one of the most well-known adult films of all time, and the most
profitable, and yet the law was powerless to do ANYTHING about the men
who did this to her - sent all of us reeling when we realized that ANY
of us could be sold, never to be seen again, and there wasn't a damn
thing anyone could do about it while we would be labeled as "criminals"
and called "prostitutes". There's even been movies made such as "Frozen
Ground" showing how the cops won't even file a report, let alone get a
search warrant, against any man who would kidnap, rape, and murder a
woman if she was labeled as a "prostitute" because the law back then put
her in the same slot as any "criminal" - not 'victim".
This
to us revealed it was basically open season on us for this reason - and
something had to be done. Now Edwin Meese did put together a porn
commission to investigate this in the adult industry after Linda came
forward - but because of how not only the mob, but also the CIA was
behind this - it didn't go anywhere. Which scared us even more -
because when a victim like her would come forward - they were either
ignored, or even arrested as the criminal themselves. Imagine what we
were hearing was happening on Epstein's Island - and not a damn thing
any of could do about it - and you have an idea how scared we all were
within the industry back then for our lives and our sisters.
Which
is one reason why COYOTE was formed in 1979 by Margo St. James. While
still a madam, and knowing we had to do something about this, I joined
COYOTE to help her set up an LA chapter of COYOTE. Us madams all joined
forces and went to talk to Mr. Meese about the need to decriminalize
prostitution so that those who were victims of sex trafficking, or
pimping even, could come forward for help and to prosecute those doing
this to them without fear their testimony about what happened to them
being used to put them in jail Yes it was as barbaric back then as how
the Taliban arrests rape victims for us.
Mr.
Meese sat us down along with Mayor Tom Bradley, Sheriff Block, and
Chief Gates and even in light of the raging AIDS epidemic, where
prostitution being illegal was creating a situation where those who were
being forced into prostitution were actually creating a public health
threat - they explained why the US government as a whole would NEVER
decriminalize prostitution. Not even to save the lives of women and
children.
As
we enlightened them, and using the urgency of this AIDS epidemic, about
why we needed to find a way to provide escape, rescue and
rehabilitation to those who were being sold and trafficked - and not
treat them like one would someone engaging in voluntary illegal
prostitution - we were told it just was "never going to happen". That
our BEST HOPE was to create a "victim" classification as a sub-group -
so that those who were being forced and/or sold could be classified as a
"victim of crime" by the Office of Victim Services, and thus get
different treatment and have different policies than that of the
"illegal prostitute". This is kind of like when the government
wouldn't legalize pot - but they did agree to provide exemptions from
criminal treatment by those who were using pot for medical reasons.
That was what we were told was our "best bet" to get help to victims and
cut down on this sort of crime.
We
knew it would take years, possibly decades, to get even one state, let
alone the whole country to decriminalize prostitution. At the same
time, we had to do something to save lives NOW. At a lunch meeting,
Margo St. James agreed to take up the mantle of working towards
decriminalization of a small area in Rhode Island (as far away from the
porn industry in LA and the legal brothels in NV as we could think of to
get) - while I agreed to set up a 12-step program and hotline so that
we could model something after the drug courts. The drug courts would
allow an addict to get treatment instead of just throwing them into jail
- so we knew we could at least use this to stop us from going to jail,
losing our kids, having a record, and all that goes with being treated
as a "criminal" by our legal system. So by setting up the hotline and
program of www.sexworkersanonymous.net in 1987 - this was the first "alternative to incarceration" that was created in the USA.
It took us until the year 2000 to get the Trafficking Act passed, which
gave not only the federal recognition to treat certain people as
"victims" instead of "criminals", and more importantly to provide
funding and services for those who were literally escaping with nothing
but the clothes on their backs in most cases who needed to go on to
build new lives.
By
working together as "sister" programs, we did see prostitution get
decriminalized in Rhode Island about 1980. The plan was to build upon
that, study it, and prove that decriminalization would in fact save
lives, reduce crime, and just "work" so that we could use this data to
expand it to more of the country. By the year 2000, we had
successfully set up a system where no one had to go to jail on a
prostitution charge unless they wanted to - as they could instead just
be referred out to attend our meetings. By allowing victims of sex
trafficking to be able to speak without fear of going to jail for
talking - we were able to use the stories of these victims in the media
to raise enough awareness about the "difference" between a "sex worker"
by trade versus a "sex trafficking victim" that led to the passing of
the Trafficking Act in the year 2000.
Now
it took another two years to work out the nuts and bolts to start
getting federal money behind the idea of "helping sex trafficking
victims" to get services that any other victim of crime received, such
as housing, therapy, medical, etc.
But
that's when the WAR began. In 2002, then President Bush, aided by then
Randall Tobias, and the Catholic Church - basically hijacked the
movement us madams, and sex workers, had created to protect our own, and
turned it in a monster that even the author of the Trafficking Act
confirmed - it was a literally "hijacking" of this movement for
financial and political gain and power. Once this issue meant money and
political power - it became much like what Prohibition was to alcohol
and alcoholism and just as freakish and bizarre.
The
attacks to push us out and let these people take over, became so life
threatening Margo moved to the UK and dropped entirely out of the
movement in the 1990's. She started focusing on the UK because of what
was happening here. I was left to try and battle these goliaths, along
with those involved in Iran Contra also trying to keep the lid on that
secret as well. I managed to get Gary Webb, an investigative reporter,
to truly dig into Iran Contra - who then validated this and brought it
to the UN world court. He was murdered I believe before he could
continue his work to prove the sex trafficking that was connected to the
drug trafficking honestly. Just as Rick "Freeway" Ross was sent up to
prison for life before he could talk too much about what he knew, and
Jon Singleton decided to quarantine himself to a boat to write
"Snowfall" to try and tell the story also before he had a sudden death
as well before the story could get to that layer.
When
Sheldon Adelson decided to take all of this and use this for his
"prostitution agenda" which was to see prostitution "legalized"
worldwide, not decriminalized, but "legalized" so that he could open
legal brothels from here to China literally, and also control all of the
secrets that would mean for him as one of the richest men in the world -
he then literally gave over $110 million dollars to defeat Obama and
his work to provide aid to trafficking victims. That's when the real
"war" began - which included the attacks upon Planned Parenthood even as
they often provided the medical care for victims who just having
escaped had no health insurance but required medical screening and care
for what they've just been through. Since they would offer abortions to
these victims, who often were pregnant, that just solidied the Catholic
Church behind Adelson's campaign. Which by the way he lost the
defamation lawsuit over his ex-CEO who went public about his agenda to
see prostitution "legalized" worldwide - so what I'm saying here has
been proven in a court of law.
The
battle now to see all of the data related to sex workers and their
clients, illegal or legal, is one of the reasons why the CIA provided
the financing to launch Facebook, and Paypal as well as Palantir
Technologies - who then was set up to crunch all of the data for
Polaris' National Trafficking Hotline. Why? Because all calls to Sex
Workers Anonymous is protected by law as confidential. However, calls
to the National Trafficking Hotline is not. So when all of their data
is put together by Palantir Technologies, it's just going right back to
the very CIA that was/is behind the sex trafficking we were witnessing
happening in this country.
Like
we knew would happen, when they used their money and their fake news to
see that Rhode Island lost decriminalization, and went back to seeing
prostitution be illegal again - the serial killers returned such as the
Long Island Serial Killer, among others. Starting in 2008, China
started a massive importation of prostitutes into their Asian massage
parlors - who were generating all of that cash and private information
right back to the Chinese government. By using "sex trafficking" as a
subject to push off line - they pushed the market right into these
parlors where many intellectual secrets and millions of dollars were
sent directly back to China. By redirecting the media to street
prostitution as "sex trafficking", they further pushed the market into
these Asian massage parlors - much as how they glamourized cocaine to
push that product now they were pushing the sex industry into the strip
clubs owned by the Russian mobsters and the Asian massage parlors
funneling everything back to the CCP.
When
the founder of SWOP (Sex Workers Outreach Project) died in 2012,
Adelson's money and the CIA basically hijacked SWOP and turned it into
their own machine to further their agenda - which was to see all cases
that might lead back to them stopped being prosecuted - or to get the NY
DA to stop all prosecutions of "prostitutes" - which in turn meant no
investigations into who might be trafficking them. This also meant that
we had to also be pushed out of the equation, and that's why groups
like Polaris were substituted in, or the National Trafficking Network
which was literally created by the Catholic Church. With Adelson's now
"blacklisting" of any of our members from speaking about anything in
the press - we had no ability to get any of this information out to
anyone.
All
we could do is to sit back and let the story become more obvious, and
now that Sheldon and Dennis Hof have passed away - we are now able to
start getting our side of the story back out there again. Which is why
I'm releasing my memoirs which is how I'm going to tell the whole story
of this movement from coast to coast without being sued into silence by
attorneys who have threatened me many times now not to release this
book. By sticking however to my "first hand experience", there's
nothing any lawyer can do to shut me up.
Now,
you may have heard that this issue is becoming a platform right now in
the Bronx with the one mayor now running on the platform he wants to
start doing prostitution prosecutions again to reduce crime. We have
the first Hispanic Mayor being blamed for an increase in crime when he
elected to stop these prostitution prosecutions. That wasn't the
problem however that caused the increase in crime, rape, murder, etc.
What did cause this to happen was when WE were taken out of the equation
like we were prior to the year 2003 when Polaris and the church stepped
in to push us out of NY, and this was backed by Adelson and Soros for
their own reasons that had nothing to do with protecting our community
out there.
You
see, before 2003, if a woman was in a situation where she could be
arrested on a prostitution charge - she used to have a joint meeting
with both SWOP and SWA. We would then determine from her what she
wanted to do - go to jail as a criminal or to come to our program and be
provided "services" to help her exit sex work. Either way, she would
have her decision then supported by our two programs - both of which
were all ran/staffed by other sex workers or retired sex workers and/or
survivors of sex trafficking. Think of it like this - one can be a rape
victim without suffering any bruises or physical harm. Sometimes
there's a mix of both.
Whether
trafficked, pimped or not - if anyone wanted help to do something other
than sex work, we'd provide them with that help. Plus, ALL of us at
some point age out of that work much like dancers do as well. But IF
any of these women were in need of drug treatment, help to escape a
pimp, or whatever the situation was - we were there to provide them with
any help they needed. To simply just not do anything - doesn't help
ANYONE.
I've
been collecting data on all kinds of sex workers from all types of
situations - both trafficked and not. Both those who have drug issues -
as well as those who have not. In fact, it's been documented our
hotline has answered over 500,000 calls since 1987 - that's more calls
than any other hotline for adults than even Polaris has answered to
date. SWA is the oldest, and largest, group of ex-sex workers and
trafficking survivors in the world. I've seen first hand all kinds of
programs where prostitution has been legalized, decriminalized,
criminalized - you name it. I've seen the results both short and long
term.
Which
is why I'm preparing to release my memoirs about all of what I have
witnessed, and also about to start reaching out to get involved in this
issue of prostitution and decriminalization that's now become a platform
in NY. I couldn't speak openly before for many reasons - including
now some people have died who were literally threatening my life if i
did interject publically on these subjects, as well as their attorneys.
The truth has come out about many things I've been saying all along to
back up my theories on these subjects - with proving Iran Contra and
what Jeff Epstein was doing coming all to light now just a part of this
validation of why we believe decriminalization WITH proper support is
the best solution to save lives, and taxpayers' money. As well as money
period when you see how much money con artists like Samoly Mam diverted
from providing real aid to real sex workers/victims in need of
services. We've also now had the Inspector General verify that almost
all money given federally to aid sex trafficking victims has been
diverted away from one dollar being put to good use. Plus we've now
proven with cases like Chris Baughman, Chris Butler and Joohon David
Lee, not to mention the DEA owned strip club in NJ - that law
enforcement is behind the biggest sex trafficking operation in this
country.
Which
is why we need to go back to separating out providing aid to sex
workers and/or victims of sex trafficking from law enforcement. You
can't ask the fox to guard chickens - and all of these rape cases of sex
workers by guards and cops that have now come to light have proven our
position on that many times over.
So
I'm writing to see if I might be able to interest you in an article on
those subject that is connected to these elections coming up about this
topic in NY, or maybe excerpts from my memoirs on the history of this
whole movement as seen through my eyes, (one not influenced by a fund
raiser or a political or religious agenda nor of us covering our ass
from what we're doing behind closed doors), or even a "letter to the
editor". Something, anything on this subject that I know your readers
would enjoy and also find very interesting. I can guarantee you a lot
of eye balls wanting to see this article that's for sure!
We

prosecutor's offices and wardens in the USA with a focus on the east and
west coasts, and will also be donating 5000 of our Recovery Guides and
my memoirs to all of the womens' jails and prisons in the country. I've
got 30 years of recorded interviews from sex workers/victims that I'm
